Fire Opal Red
Parked at the same intersection in Belltown, Seattle that the previous Aston Martin DB9 was spotted was this Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG in a luscious Fire Opal Red.
Would have been great to get two beautiful, timeless supercars in the same shot, but unfortunately the DB9 took off too quickly. Still, I ain’t complainin’.
Past Meets Present
You may have heard of the Gullwing America 300SL Panamericana, which was released in 2009 as a modern day, more reliable version of the original Mercedes-Benz 300SL which some like, others don’t.
The car above is a one-off car built by Gullwing America for a single client in Eastern Europe. It takes inspiration from the 1955 Mercedes-Benz SC and it’s built on the current SLS AMG chassis.
The Road & Track crew thinks it’s hideous. The folks at Autoblog think it’s stunning. What do you think?
