Recently Tesla announced that they will be discontinuing the Roadster either at the end of this year or the beginning of next due to their contract with Lotus coming to an end.
It’s hard to believe because the supposed upcoming Model S won’t go on sale until mid-2012.
They will also be unveiling a new model later this year called the “Model X.” Rumor also has it that it will be a crossover that will “incorporate the functionality of a minivan with the consumer appeal of a SUV.”
This could be the quickest change in product/branding in the history of any company.
