Killer Cayman
Would you believe the car pictured above is a Porsche Cayman? That’s right, it’s an extra special Cayman with a Rush Aerokit designed by Anibal Automotive Design and sold by Armadura Exotics in Hollywood, California.
It’s a serious rebody available in fiber glass or, for twice the price you can splurge and get the carbon fiber kit ($50,000!). Armadura makes it easy to fully tune your Cayman with an adjustable Bilstein suspension, front and rear roll bar, Brembo brakes, a rear diffuser ($16,000!), a turbo/intercooler/header kit ($20,000!), some matching leather seats with carbon fiber finish, and some big, bad 20” HRE H-40 wheels paired with Nitto Invo tires.
The complete carbon fiber package with the works will run you roughly $119,000 (not including the car itself), almost double the price of a brand new Cayman S.
But forget about the price for a second (if you can). Just looking at the body kit, I think we have a winner here. It has bold body flares, tons of sharp edges, and details that one could never get bored of and although some may find it a bit gaudy, it harkens back to the slant nose 930’s of the past, a bit. The front bumper may be a little too “exotic” (Ferrari/McLaren) for the Cayman but the rest of the Aerokit looks like it could have been offered as an option straight from the factory.
There are a ton of 911 tuners like RUF, TechArt, and Gemballa but it’s great to see a company actually doing something with the Cayman, a car with so much potential.
You can see a complete walk around video of the car here.
